What does this policy cover?
This policy covers the personal information that Relgo Networks, Inc. collects from
the client, services and history of the client and how Relgo treats collected information.
The Personal information is information about the client such as name, postal address,
email address, phone number and relations which are otherwise not publicly available.
This policy does not apply to any partners we may work with such as paypal and others.
They maintain their own policy statement. We share minimum information with credit
card processing companies to complete the transaction.
What data do you collect and what do you do with the collected data?
Relgo Networks, Inc. helps organize your contacts so that you can use your natural
relationships and groups to find people. Relgo also matches the services to users
and also provides trusted referral information when you request. For facilitating
such contact management Relgo collects personal information during registration,
such as name, email address, postal address, birth date, occupation, personal interests,
education, schools etc. Relgo also takes your relationship information for your
contact and links your network with contact network. In case of home or family users,
Relgo connects your extended family with one or more family member (brother, sister
etc) based on contact and relationship information. Relgo facilitates searching,
inference and keeping the contact information up to date looking at relationships
and contact information. Relgo also uses your activity information to alert about
events, local services and other activities applicable to you because of your connections
and profile. During purchasing Relgo may collect credit card and other information.
After the registration the client will not be anonymous.
Premium users in addition to above free services can establish private network and
invite family, friends and others to use and share the private networks. The shared
network when it is private will not be accessible to anybody else who not part of
the network. Premium users will also be able to create a shared network for fictitious
characters or administered network to provide contact information about third person.
Premium users will be able to create business or customer contacts for a team or
company and share them. Premium users may also participate in marketing promotions
utilizing sales relationship and campaign for a product to forward to their network
and earn commission. Premium subscription tracks the promotion invitations and campaign
participation keeping track the commission earned for the campaigns they participated.
Service providers in addition to premium services will be able to setup products
and services to promote to their network and customers network. Relgo collects contact
and services information from service providers. Service provider may specify the
potential customers for their service. Relgo matches the services to log on user
to display the applicable services. Service providers also may create campaigns
for their services and associate one or more sales agents for the campaign. Relgo
utilizes the relationship, group and profile information to show service advertisements
to potential users. Service providers who use Relgo's purchase and licensing mechanism
will be able to track their customers and sales agents. In addition to providing
the service, Relgo may measure the strength of relationships based on the activities
and organize the activities based on your network.
What are different invitations you can send using Relgo? What information do you
collect for sending invitation?
Relgo enables you to send different type of invitations to your contacts. Invitations
are "Request relationship invitation", "Join network invitation", "Campaign participation
invitation", "Product promotion invitation", "Custom invitation". Relgo may extend
invitation types when ever it sees fit. During invitation, Relgo collects your contact's
email addresses, invitation expiration date, discount for purchasing a product;
senders shared network information and any resource information.
How do the Relgo invitations work?
When you create a contact and set relationship, you can opt for sending Relationship
invitation to your contact. Relgo then sends an invitation to contacts Relgo address
or personal email address for accepting relationship invitation. Your contact can
accept the invitation to establish relationship. Relgo infers contact relationship
to you from your specified relationship to contact and gets acceptance from contact.
This relationship will be stored along with contacts.
Join Network invitation is used to invite your contact to use your network for adding
relationships. Premium or business subscription enables you to create private network
and share network with your contacts. Relgo collects network and group you want
to share and makes them available for your contact through join network invitation.
By accepting join network invitation your contact accepts your relationship invitation,
and start creating contacts in the shared network. When you share a network, your
contact has the option to trust your network instead of using your network. Trusting
network means your contact will be able to see your network and will not be using
your network for creating his contacts.
A campaign invitation is used for promoting a product or service by Campaign owner
or sales agent to campaign owner. Campaign invitation is sent to network contacts
promoting products and services. This invitation comes with a promotion code or
if campaign owner is recruiting a sales agent it comes as join campaign network
invitation.
Custom Invitations are typically used for inviting for events. During custom invitations
Relgo may also take resource provider address. These invitations are categorized
and displayed to contact.
How do your site privacy settings work?
Relgo allows user to set privacy as public, private, do not forward and contact
through me. Setting the relation or data to "public" makes the information public.
Setting group privacy "public", makes privacy setting on relation important. Setting
relation, group or network privacy to "private", makes all the relations private.
Setting privacy as "Do Not Forward" makes your contact information available to
only your immediate contacts. Setting privacy as "Contact through me" just makes
name public and rest of the information including email as private.
What information do you share with our connections?
Depending on your privacy settings in the profile, we show name, email address,
postal address, and phone number. We may share client's connections and relations
depending on the privacy settings of the relation. You should be aware that any
personally identifiable information you submit can be read, collected, or used by
other users of this service depending on your privacy settings, and could be used
to send you unsolicited messages. We are not responsible for the personally identifiable
information you choose to submit in your profile.
Do you share private, personal information with targeted advertisers or third parties?
We do not share any personal information that you list as "private" with targeted
advertisers. We do however match clients information, in a non-personally identifying
way, against customers criterion set by service providers to show appropriate advertisements.
However, if an advertisement appears and the client clicks on it, the service provider
may assume that the client fits the criteria and may try to sell their services.
Relgo does not share your information with 3rd party advertisers. However we don't
restrict people to search on people who exposed their contact information. You may
receive marketing and special offers from people in your contact list or from people
who have you in their contact list or from some unknown party. You can opt out from
offers through preferences.
Relgo uses paypal and other service providers for credit card processing. Relgo
shares email address with credit card processing service providers. Please refer
to partner's privacy policy regarding the information security from partner site.
We reserve the right to disclose your personally identifiable information as required
by law and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights and/or
comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on our Web
site.
What type of communication do I receive from Relgo?
We will send you strictly service-related announcements on rare occasions when it
is necessary to do so. For instance, if our service is temporarily suspended for
maintenance, we might send you an email. Based upon the personally identifiable
information you provide us, we will send you a welcoming email to verify your username
and password. We will also communicate with you in response to your inquiries, to
provide the services you request, and to manage your account. We will communicate
with you by email or telephone, in accordance with your wishes. Relgo sends service
updates, registration, information updates such as privacy policy, terms of service
etc. Generally, you may not opt-out of these communications, which are not promotional
in nature. If you do not wish to receive them, you have the option to deactivate
your account. You also may receive promotional offers from Relgo or one of Relgo
affiliates about the new Relgo products and services. You can opt out promotional
offers by setting option in preferences as explained previously.
What type of messages can I opt out?
You can opt out campaign invitations from Relgo members. However you can not opt
out other type of communications such as critical updates, confirmations, some type
of invitations and generic advertisements.
Do you use cookies, if so how?
We do not currently use persistent cookies on user's machine, user is always anonymous.
We use session cookies to identify the logged in user during their usage of website.
We are using auto detect feature of web server for user session management. In some
cases it sets the cookies on client machine. We do not use client side cookies to
identify incoming user or log the information in server. However our partners or
advertisers may set cookies when you click on the links. Advertisers use their own
cookies covered by their privacy policies.
Can we edit, delete accounts?
Client can edit account information, profile, preferences, and privacy at anytime.
Relgo maintains right to send communication on services, announcements, administrative
messages and subscription information to all its members. You can delete account
by sending a mail to support@relgo.com. However Relgo may not delete your account
history completely from database or archives.
What about Confidentiality and Security of information?
We use SSL for every user request. We use thawte issued 1024 bit SSL certificate
for encrypting the data on the wire. You can verify the validity of SSL certificate
by clicking on thawte logo on the home page. Your personal data is encrypted on
the wire every time you interact with Relgo site and hence secure from network sniffing
from hackers. We host our machines and applications in a secure and dedicated machines
ensuring we have network, physical and electronic safeguards to comply with federal
regulations to protect personal information.
Who has access to information?
We limit access to database containing personal information about clients to employees
who we believe need it for better serving clients during support and other activities.
Will you notify us changes to privacy policy?
Relgo may update privacy policy from time to time. We will post the updated privacy
policy on the web. If there are any significant changes, affecting your personal
information, in this privacy policy, we will notify you through a prominent notice
on our website with a highlighter or notify you through email.
