AP Excise & Prohibition department had identified groups of families for rehabilitating them from illicit distillation using Relgo Survey Processing.

Excise & Prohibition department, Government of Andhra Pradesh had intended to provide rehabilitation to families involved in illicit distillation. Department had to survey over 3000 families in Dhoolpet, Kurnool and Nandyal areas and needed to segregate families based on their skills, education, income and rehabilitate them, so that they might abstain from doing illicit distillation. Some of the factors taken into consideration for doing department surveys include family status, members & relationships, income, trade, skills in the family, rehabilitation required and current work status. In order to identify groups of families based on different type of skills, they needed to identify group of families for each skill, income, education or combination of skill and income. "We enforced the order by stopping illicit distillation. In the process, we need to provide alternate source of income for families. It is very important for us to identify what each family wants. It is important for us to segregate families based on various factors." says Director, Excise & Prohibition. With 3000 families, each with an average of 5 people, processing segregates over 15000 people based on multiple factors. Department had deployed Relgo server to segregate family surveys based on skills and other factors. Department initially fed sample surveys and for doing processing, they employed over four people to feed the entire 3000 family surveys in 15 days period.
